DESCRIPTION:Aspiring Youth Academy\, in partnership with First Tee – Phoenix\, invites high school students to a hands-on Innovator Circle focused on golf\, leadership\, and entrepreneurship. \nTeens will learn golfing fundamentals\, explore leadership skills\, and hear how golf and entrepreneurship connect—with insights from the First Tee – Phoenix team on how lessons from the course translate into real-world confidence and decision-making. \nThis event will also feature special guest speakers Daryl and Derek Crawford\, twin brothers who bring valuable entrepreneurial insight and mindset shaped by a lifetime in golf. Daryl serves as General Manager of Papago Golf Club\, and Derek is the Tournament Director. Both played junior\, high school\, and college golf together\, ultimately competing as teammates at Arizona State University\, and will share how leadership\, service\, and an entrepreneurial approach SUMMARY:Hot Rods & the Business Behind Them: A Teen Garage Experience
DESCRIPTION:On Thursday\, July 23 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM\, students ages 14–18 will get an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at All American Billet (AAB)\, led by entrepreneur Shane Williams\, who turned a small machine shop into a powerhouse in the hot rod world. \nShane started AAB in 2013 with a single billet sun visor hook for classic trucks. Today\, the company designs custom hot rods\, suspension kits\, and aftermarket parts\, and has grown through multiple brand acquisitions. \nAAB’s Latest Venture:\nAll American Billet continues to innovate\, most recently acquiring Hurricane Motorsports\, a manufacturer of Shelby Cobra replica kit cars. The company now offers build-it-yourself kits\, rollers\, and fully built cars. Plans are also in motion to add Porsche 356 Speedsters and Spyders\, further cementing AAB’s status as a leader in custom automotive innovation.
