Aspire to Pitch

Turning Big Ideas into Bold Ventures

Aspiring Youth Academy provides students with the opportunity to transform their ideas into compelling business presentations and share them with community leaders, entrepreneurs, and industry professionals.

Instead of being one stand-alone competition, our pitch competitions are integrated into AYA’s Innovation Hub graduations and the annual Spring Break Innovation Camp. Students develop their ideas throughout the program, strengthen their business plans, practice public speaking, and prepare to present their concepts at a culminating pitch experience.

Where Aspire to Pitch Competitions Take Place

Innovation Hub Graduations

Students participating in the Innovation Hub may present their business ideas during their program graduation. These pitch presentations celebrate what students have learned and allow them to demonstrate their creativity, confidence, financial knowledge, and entrepreneurial skills.

Spring Break Innovation Camp

Camp participants work in teams to develop innovative business ideas and solutions. At the conclusion of camp, students present their concepts during the Camp Pitch Competition before a panel of business and community judges.

The Aspire to Pitch Experience

Through Aspire to Pitch, students have the opportunity to:
  • Develop a business, product, service, or community-focused solution
  • Create and refine a business plan
  • Practice public speaking and presentation skills
  • Present ideas to business leaders and community judges
  • Receive constructive feedback from entrepreneurs and professionals
  • Build confidence, leadership, and teamwork skills
  • Connect with mentors and community partners
  • Compete for prizes, seed funding, or recognition when available
  • Gain practical, real-world entrepreneurial experience

Who Participates?

Aspire to Pitch! is available to teens participating in Aspiring Youth Academy’s Innovation Hub and Spring Break Innovation Camp programs. Students do not need to begin with a fully developed business. AYA’s curriculum, facilitators, volunteers, and mentors help participants develop an initial idea into a thoughtful and engaging pitch. Whether students are creating a business, developing a product, addressing a community need, or launching a social enterprise, AYA’s pitch programs give them a platform to share their vision.

More Than a Competition

Aspire to Pitch is not only about winning. It is about helping young people discover their voices, communicate their ideas, respond to feedback, and recognize their ability to create meaningful change. Every pitch represents the culmination of a student’s hard work, creativity, courage, and growth.
